The bump from the larger battery only protrudes in the back, and there it is no problem. It doesn't look any worse than anything else, either.

When I put in my wife's actual Dell battery everything is good so somehow this aftermarket battery had failed. I updated my BIOS just to be sure, but no change. Either the battery is dead or the chip in it which reports it to the system has failed, either way, it's no longer any good and my return period ended last week. Guess I will need to contact vendor to try to get a replacement.
Next time I'll buy a genuine Dell battery.

Initially on the first charged, it says on the battery meter that it was capable of 5 hours. But after 5 minutes, the battery meter adjust to 3 hrs left. Even though it is an extra current battery, 3 hrs was more believable.
