Mid 2009 Macbook Pro Battery, March 14, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: MacBook Pro 13" A1322 Battery - 661-5229, 661-5557, A1322 - New (Electronics) I found that it was necessary to go into the Apple menu "About this Mac" and see the description. I found that there are at least 3 different batteries that are sold for the machine that looks just like mine. Mine says 13-inch, Mid 2009. That was correct for this battery.
To replace this battery I found that it was a good idea to get the toolkit Silverhill 20 Piece Tool Kit for Apple Products that was suggested when purchasing the battery. I made sure to shut my computer down completely before attempting the replacement. The screws that hold the bottom of the computer are very small like size 00. Inside there are 2 three point screws, they look almost like philips, but they are not. These 2 three point screws hold the battery in. The tool kit had the correct driver. The connector lifted up to remove and the battery came out easily. Installing the new battery was just as easy. One of the screws for the battery was long and the other is short.
